Wonder Woman welcomes guests during Memorial Day Weekend as the all new Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth opens at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. (Photo: Business Wire)

“Get ready for a thrilling, wild new ride that will exceed all expectations,” said Don McCoy, park president. “Imagine propelling through the air, while concurrently spinning and reaching great heights at the same time. We welcome this iconic Super Hero to our growing line-up of DC- branded attractions.”

Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth is an oversized pendulum-shaped ride that will send guests on a supersonic journey high above the park. Wonder Woman, the world’s most iconic female DC Super Hero, is the embodiment of justice, equality and peace; and a symbol of female empowerment, as she fights to seek for justice.

Ride highlights include:

  • 40 riders seated facing outward around a large saucer that propels at speeds of nearly 70 miles per hour;
  • The ride swings back and forth while rotating counterclockwise; and
  • As guests swing higher and higher, they experience a feeling of weightlessness as they climb 147 feet in the air.

Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth will be located between thrill coasters, Superman Ultimate Flight and The Joker and in close proximity to another DC ride, the spinning water cannon attraction, The Penguin.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will be open daily for the summer Memorial Day Weekend.

Guests can purchase a 2017 Season Pass for unlimited admission to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and any other Six Flags theme park that includes special admission offers for friends. Season Passes provide park admission to this season’s Super Hero Summer, Fright Fest®, Holiday in the Park® and all of 2017.

Passholders may also purchase an All Season Dining Pass, which includes a lunch, dinner, and snack during every park visit.
