SODIC Celebrates Westown Hub Grand Opening during a Two Day Spring Festival

Cairo, Egypt, 24 May, 2015 - SODIC officially launched its newest entertainment complex "Westown Hub" during a two day grand opening Spring Festival starting Friday, May 15th.

Ideally located in the heart of Westown, The Hub boasts some of Cairo's finest restaurants and cafés as well as diverse services, sports outlets and a 2000 sqm indoor/outdoor dedicated children space, making it the go-to destination for the whole family.

The two day grand opening saw Westown Hub transformed into a colourful Spring Extravaganza. The day was celebrated with spring festivities including dazzlingly colourful kites, a trampoline photo booth, a hay pit loaded with gifts and candy, a photo scavenger hunt with a Vespa grand prize and a magical fairy house. Surrounding the Hub were various pop up vendors, a large picnic area and a huge canvas wall for painting. Entertaining the audience were live music performers indie rock musician Hassan Ramzy, and bands Crash Boom Bang, The Blowers and Glass Onion.

The two-day grand opening was attended by over 10,000 visitors, with wider communities of 6 October and Sheikh Zayed continuing to flood the venue since. Westown Hub spans over 16,000 sqm offering over 45 different eateries and entertainment venues. Uniquely designed on multi tiers surrounding a lively piazza, The Hub is set to become the focal point of SODIC West's vibrant community, and Sheikh Zayed's wider community.
