- Watch the entire Snap programming catalogue with Google Chromecast directly on the TV

- Simply transfer movies and series via Wi-Fi from smartphones and tablets
- Unbeatable price: Instantly enjoy Snap - the online video library from Sky for only €3.99 per month

Unterföhring, 9 September 2014 - Snap is the online video library from Sky available for only €3.99 per month, as the perfect entry point to the Sky experience, as well as an ideal addition for concurrent Sky customers. It has never been easier to stream Snap programmes on TV screens as of today thanks to the newly released iOS and Android apps which support Google Chromecast.

By connecting Chromecast to the TV set through an HDMI port and with Wi-Fi, the entire Snap programming catalogue can be easily transferred to the TV screen from iPad, iPhone as well as selected Samsung Android smartphones and tablets. Simply open the app, push the Cast button and instantly play blockbusters such as "Sher-lock Holmes" and "Alice in Wonderland", box sets of complete seasons of award-winning series such as "The Sopranos", "Sex and the City", exclusive hits from HBO such as "Game of Thrones" (season 1) and "Boardwalk Empire" (season 2), as well as further great series like "The Walking Dead" (season 1&2) on the big screen. And there's no need to reach for the remote: The content can be controlled directly from the couch with the app on a smartphone or tablet.

Alice Mascia, Vice President, Strategy at Sky Deutschland: "We are happy to hold on our promise to customers to constantly extend the options for watching the Snap content catalogue. Chromecast is a fantastic addition to the range of devices for Snap - customers can plug it in the TV and instantly play top movies and series di-rectly on the big screen from their mobile devices. This means the customer gets to make the decision about where, when and how to use Snap."

With the new Android app release on Google Play, the "Bookmarking" function is now also possible for the supported selection of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tab-lets. This feature makes note of when programming stops and allows users to resume watching at exactly the same point - even if the app was ended in the interim.
