Chef Daniel Boulud today announced that he will partner with SL Green to develop an exciting new culinary concept for One Vanderbilt Avenue, the 1,401-foot skyscraper anchoring the modernization of the East Midtown Business District.

“One Vanderbilt Avenue is one of those rare buildings that will be a New York City icon. I was drawn to its stunning design and one of a kind location. The space being created for the restaurant is simply extraordinary and well-suited for the fine dining destination I envision,” said Daniel Boulud. “The level of commitment, care, and detail that SL Green has brought to this project will become highly apparent to the tenants in the building and future customers at One Vanderbilt.”

“From the outset of this project, we envisioned that One Vanderbilt would feature one of the best new dining experiences in New York City,” said SL Green Chief Executive Officer Marc Holliday. “As a globally-recognized gastronomic master, Daniel Boulud is the perfect partner to help develop, at this exceptional address, a top culinary destination regularly drawing business people from across the Midtown business district, residents throughout the City, and visitors from around the world, while also providing a new, unparalleled amenity to our One Vanderbilt tenants.”

Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) Associates, One Vanderbilt will encompass an entire city block at the doorstep of Grand Central Terminal, bounded by Madison and Vanderbilt Avenues to the west and east, and East 43rd and East 42nd Streets to the north and south. With 1.7 million square feet of 21st century office space, One Vanderbilt will feature column-free floorplates, unmatched ceiling heights, 360 degree views, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and a package of modern office amenities unrivaled in New York City.
