Working in partnership with Arthur D. Riley Ltd, Smart Parking Limited (ASX:SPZ) the global parking technology company has won a contract for the supply and maintenance of bay sensor technology for approximately 945 parking bays in the City of Hamilton.

Located in the North Island, Hamilton is the fourth most populous city in New Zealand. The adoption of Smart Parking technology comes amid Hamilton City Council's new parking plan to revitalise Hamilton's Central Business District (CBD).

Paul Gillespie, CEO at Smart Parking, said:

"We have a strong history of working with some of the world's leading councils, having completed the installation of over 34,000 parking bay sensors across the globe during the last 14 years, and we look forward to working with Hamilton City Council in introducing the latest in in-ground vehicle detection sensors to assist in the daily management of on-street parking spaces.

As part of the project we will also be working with the Council to introduce a parking availability application which will enable drivers to locate and pay for vacant spaces in real-time using their smartphone device."

Smart Parking's order from Hamilton City Council follows the recent deployment of over 3,500 vehicle detection sensors in Wellington representing Smart Parking's further expansion into New Zealand.
