Smith Micro and Boost Mobile Deliver Feature-Rich Visual Voicemail Experience Users can manage voicemail like email with text transcription option

ALISO VIEJO, CA - May 16, 2012 - Smith Micro Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMSI), a leading provider of wireless and mobility solutions, today announced that its Visual Voicemail platform will be available to Boost Mobile subscribers on May 31 with the launch of the no-contract wireless provider's first 4G Android device, the HTC EVO Design 4G™. With Visual Voicemail, voicemail messages are managed like email, allowing users to scroll through and listen to messages in any order, forward or reply to messages via email or text, and save messages directly onto the memory card of their mobile device. Voicemail-to-Text transcription will also be offered for a monthly fee.

With Voicemail-to-Text transcription, Smith Micro simplifies the process of checking voicemail by converting the voice message into text and delivering the message to the mobile device or email inbox of Boost Mobile subscribers. Using this optional service, subscribers can read voicemail messages at school, at a concert, in a meeting, or anywhere that listening is inconvenient. Boost Mobile customers with the HTC EVO Design will have access to Visual Voicemail, and the optional Visual Voicemail-to-Text transcription service for $1.99 per month, with the launch of HTC EVO Design 4G on May 31.
