Smith & Nephew : selected for World Dow Jones Sustainable Indices for fifteenth consecutive year

Smith & Nephew (LSE: SN, NYSE: SNN), the global medical technology business, is proud to announce that it has retained its position as an index component on the Dow Jones Sustainable Indices (DJSI), a global benchmark for corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI World recognises leading sustainability-driven companies based on analysis of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. This is the fifteenth consecutive year that Smith & Nephew has been recognised for sustainable operations having been included in the DJSI World and DJSI Europe Indices since 2002 and 2001.

In the analysis, Smith & Nephew achieved the industry best scores in the Marketing Strategy and Environmental Reporting categories with perfect scores, while also scoring highly in Climate Strategy, Occupational Health & Safety and Social Reporting. With 92% of its category scores above the industry average, the latest review illustrates Smith & Nephew's continued excellence in sustainable business practice.
