San Donato Milanese, 12 December 2017 - With reference to the event this morning at a stretch of the Austrian network managed by the operator Gas Connect, which caused the temporary suspension of gas flows through the Trans Austria Gasleitung (TAG) pipeline into Italy, Snam confirms that Austrian authorities have authorized the resumption of gas transportation operations.

Marco Alverà, CEO of Snam, commented:

'On the basis of the available information, the three lines of the TAG (Trans Austria Gasleitung), the pipeline that brings Russian gas to Italy, have not been affected, and we expect gas flows to Italy to resume by midnight.

The Italian gas system is one of the most secure in the world thanks to the strong diversification of supply sources, the ample gas storage capacity and the emergency planning carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development, much appreciated in Europe'.
