A new green area, fully equipped for children's play, was inaugurated today in Fario Superiore (nearby Crusolito locality) in the presence of Messina's town councillor Daniele Ialacqua, two classes from the local primary school, the local district and Snam Rete Gas. The area was created by the Company as part of the convention signed with the Municipality of Messina in June 2014.

Snam Rete Gas, which operates in the gas transportation business and manages 11 natural gas compressor stations located along the national gas pipeline network with the function of channeling the gas through the pipelines, managed the requalification process of the Crusolito area, designed by Municipality architect Giancarlo Berenato. Overall, 360 square metres were requalified and made available to population.

A clean-up operation was firstly carried out and then swings, carousels and benches were installed. Biologists managed to preserve an old olive tree and to implant autochthonous plants. The project carried out in Faro Superiore is coherent with Snam's approach to sustainability, aimed at generating shared value both for the Company and for the community in which it operates, in the firm belief that the success of the business cannot be regardless of a positively involved social, economic and environmental framework.
