SNS REAAL has won the Grand Prix Customer Media 2011 with
Hechter, its internal magazine, in the 'Internal
Media' category.The annual awards ceremony was held on
Thursday, 17 November, in Amsterdam. Hechter was entered by
SNS REAAL and Kris Kras Design. Kris Kras is responsible
for the magazine's production and design.
There were 28 entries for the Internal Media category. The
professional jury nominated 4 magazines. Apart from
Hechter, the nominations were 'Hello, I am' for the
Philadelphia Foundation, 'Echt' for ING Domestic
Bank NL and 'Samenwerkt' for Woonbedrijf.
The professional jury's opinion on the Hechter:
"In spite of these, for financial institutions, very
difficult economic times, the makers were able to produce a
magazine that conforms to the wishes of the employees. The
magazine, which combines different media, is fun and
informative to leaf through. The layout is clear, there is
a feeling of urgency and it has a modern and fresh look to
it. The line of approach towards content is exciting, the
execution clean and simple. The jury appreciates the
provoking headlines, especially in a banking environment.
The cover policy is distinctive. The magazine stimulates
readers to go to other fora. That's a very strong
point. The entire concept deviates from a traditional
magazine. The layout definitely stands out. Hechter is
worthy of an award!"
SNS REAAL's 7,100 employees receive Hechter six times a
year. Together with intranet and internal social media, the
magazine is part of the internal communication mix and
informs staff about strategic developments, changes and
trends in and outside SNS REAAL. Moreover, the magazine
focuses on improving the bond and strengthening cooperation
between the company's twelve brands. Hechter was
launched in the Fall of 2009.
