Sociedad de Inversiones en Energia is a Colombia-based company principally engaged in the oil and gas exploration and distribution. The Company acquires interests in enterprises engaged in the exploration, exploitation, refining, import, export and distribution of oil and its derivatives. The Company also invests in enterprises concentrated in the commercial exploitation of supplying plants, pumping stations and oil pipelines, service stations, and as a whole, in companies engaged in the reception, storage, transport, distribution and sale of hydrocarbons and oil or other energy resource derivatives. The Company has subsidiaries as Organizacion Terpel SA, Gas Natural Comprimido SAS and Operaciones y Servicios de Combustibles SAS, among others. On August 15, 2014, the Company, Organizacion Terpel, Terpel del Centro and Proenergia Internacional closed merger process; Organizacion Terpel is aimed to absorb Sociedad de Inversiones en Energia, Terpel del Centro and Proenergia Internacional.
