Bollate, Italy, April 09, 2015 -Solvay will underscore its continued commitment to the paint and coatings industry with a strong appearance at the European Coatings Show 2015 in Nuremberg, Germany, April 21- 23. In Hall 1 on Stand 1-320, the company's global business units Novecare, Specialty Polymers, Special Chemicals, Rare Earth Systems and Coatis will exhibit their broad portfolio of specialty polymers, surfactants for emulsion polymerization, specialty monomers, open time extenders, additives and freeze-thaw additives, dispersants, fillers, pigments and oxygenated solvents for a wide range of demanding and innovative coating solutions. Experts from each of these business units will be available for discussions and interviews.
Solvay will also highlight new developments and trends in three short presentations during the show in Hall 1 Stand 1-131:
On April 21 at 11h30, YiZhong Li, global market manager emulsions, Novecare, will report on "The benefits of phosphate esters as emulsifiers in polymerization"with particular focus on latex synthesis and emulsions.
On April 21 at 15h10, Dr. Petra Fritzen, technical market manager, PCC, Special Chemicals, will introduce "SOCAL® UP, a new generation of precipitated calcium carbonate for emulsion paints", developed to provide significant cost savings and enhanced flexibility in the formulation of sustainable paints.
On April 22 at 15h30, Ayaz Khan, technical service marketing manager, Novecare, will present Rhodoline® 3000 and 4000, two series of "New high-performance pigment dispersants for water-based applications", designed to boost the color strength, stability and gloss of low-VOC and APE-free pigment dispersions.
