MINNEAPOLIS and LONDON  (October 29, 2013) - NASA will bring together 100 space enthusiasts to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for a two-day NASA Social, Nov. 5 - 6, 2013, for a sneak peek at the upcoming 2014 Earth science missions. Sopheon's Social Marketing Specialist, Tina Cassler, has been selected as one of 100 NASA Social attendees to attend and learn about three Earth-observing missions being launched in 2014. These missions will study the Earth and its climate.

As a NASA Social attendee, Cassler and the other 99 attendees will interact with engineers and scientists working on the upcoming Earth science missions, plus tour the Spacecraft Assembly Facility, the JPL Earth Science Center, the Mission Control Center of NASA's Deep Space Network and the JPL Mars Yard.

In addition, the NASA Social will allow participants to meet other space enthusiasts and members of NASA's social media team. Attendees were selected through a lottery system in which 425 NASA followers registered.

"Being selected is such an honor!" Cassler said, "I am very excited to learn more about how NASA is studying the Earth to help improve our lives and the care of our planet."
