HK$2 - 2.8 million / US$260,000 - 360,000*) Hong Kong, 27 November 2014 Sharon Chan, Head of Watches, Sotheby's Asia, comments on the auction today, "Following on the success of the Important Watches Autumn Sale in October, we are delighted to conclude the Fine Timepieces sale today at Sotheby's Hong Kong Gallery nearly at the pre-sale high estimate, bringing the cumulative total for Sotheby's Hong Kong watches sales in the second half of2014 to HK$140.6 million / US$18 million. Participation was international with fierce bidding in the room, on the phone as well as on the internet. There was keen competition for Patek Philippe high complicated watches as well as vintage Rolex watches, which brought notable results and illustrate the strong demand for these timepieces. Watch lovers around the world can look forward to more exciting offerings at Sotheby's New York Important Watches sale on 10 Dec."
