(CHARLESTON, SC - JANUARY 19, 2017) South State Bank announced several promotions within its Charleston Region.

'Promoting from within the company and developing our people to take on bigger roles at the bank are core values of South State,' stated Bill Medich, regional president for South State's Charleston Region. 'It is with great pleasure that I make these announcements.'

Patti Byrd has been promoted to private banker at the Charleston Broad Street office. Byrd was formerly the branch manager at the Broad Street office. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and has been with South State for 7 years.

Trent Drafts has been promoted to commercial banking vice president at the Charleston Broad Street office. Drafts has both undergraduate and MBA degrees from Charleston Southern University, and is a Graduate of South Carolina Banker's School. He has been with South State for 7 years.

Jesse Dibona has been promoted to senior regional credit administrator at the Charleston Broad Street office. Dibona has an undergraduate degree from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business. He has been with South State for 8 years.

Tiffany Herr has been promoted to branch manager at the Charleston Ashley Avenue office. Herr was formerly a financial sales representative at the Johnnie Dodds office. She has an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and has been with South State for 4 years.

Eliza Lacey has been promoted to branch manager at the Broad Street office. Lacey was formerly a financial sales representative at the Broad Street office. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and has been with South State for 4 years.

Raymond Murray has been promoted to community mortgage loan officer. Murray was formerly the branch manager at the Dorchester Road office. He is a graduate of Clemson University and has been with South State for 18 years.

Jessica Stafford has been promoted to branch manager at the Summerville N. Main office, where she was formerly the assistant branch manager. Stafford attended Charleston Southern University and has been with South State for 11 years.
