Resumption of Trading

Trading in the shares of SouthGobi Resources Ltd. (the "Company") on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange was halted at the request of the Company with effect from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018, pending the release of inside information relating to the update on a commercial arbitration proceeding of a subsidiary of the Company in Hong Kong. As the Company has published the announcement in respect of the said inside information on the above date, an application has been made to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for resumption of the trading in the shares of the Company with effect from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018.
