Analyst Update: Financial Results, and Offerings

U.S. stocks rallied on Monday, triggered by some good first-quarter earnings reports. The NASDAQ gained 1.27% or 62.79 points, to finish at 4,994.60; the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 1.17%, or 208.63 points to 18,034.93, and the S&P 500 ended the session at 2,100.40, up 0.92% or 19.22 points. The gains were broad based as all the sectors closed the session in positive. European stocks too edged higher on Monday, as aggressive easing policy in China offsets the impact of Greece turmoil. Major European markets ended the session higher, as Germany's DAX rose 1.74%; France's CAC advanced 0.86%, and Britain's FTSE 100 jumped 0.82%. Meanwhile, Asian markets mostly disappointed on Monday, amid rising concern over slowdown in the Chinese economy. The Shanghai Composite and Japan's Nikkei both closed lower.

On April 16, 2015, shares of NetFlix Inc. shot up by 18.21% to close the day at $562.05. The previous day the Company had come out with its first quarter 2015 financial results The Company added a record 4.9 million new members globally in Q1, against its forecast of 4.1 million and prior year of 4.0 million, bringing its total global streaming membership to 62.3 million.

On March 30, 2015, Voltari Corporation announced that it had closed its previously announced offering of transferable subscription rights to purchase up to an aggregate of 4,300,000 shares of the Company's common stock, of $0.001 par value per share.

On April 16, 2015, Capital Product partners L.P (Capital Product partners), announced that it had priced its public offering of 12,800,000 common units representing limited partnership interests at a public offering price of $9.53 per common unit.

Sphere 3D Corp., reported its Q4 2014 and full year 2014 financial results. Net revenue for the fourth quarter was $9.5 million while the same for full-year stood at $13.5 million. The Company had merged with Overland Storage on December 1, 2014.

On April 16, 2015, shares of Speed Commerce Inc. fell 28.6% to close at $0.40. On the same day, the Company announced that it entered into agreements with investors for a registered direct offering of 13,035,713 shares of its common stock and warrants to purchase up to 9,776,784 shares of its common stock at a combined public offering price of $0.56 per share and related warrants for total gross proceeds of $7.3 million.
