Cologne/Büdelsdorf, 15 May 2018 - The Splendid Group has agreed an extensive long-term partnership with the freenet Group. mobilcom-debitel GmbH (a subsidiary of freenet AG) has exclusively commissioned the Splendid Group to implement and operate the new online video store "freenet Video". In particular, the Splendid subsidiary Videociety GmbH will handle technical services and the provision of film content on the basis of the meinVoD platform. "freenet Video" is available as of now at www.freenet-video.de and from 22 May 2018 in all 560 mobilcom-debitel shops and associated specialist retailers.

Under an SVoD agreement, Splendid is providing more than 1,000 films and series from a wide range of genres to the SVoD platform "freenet Video". Customers can also use "freenet Video" to access the more than 8,000 films and series in high-definition quality on Videociety's meinVoD platform and either watch them on demand or purchase them. Videociety is also handling operational support for "freenet Video". The partnership with freenet Group is planned to last at least five years.
