Splunk Hadoop Connect provides bi-directional integration to easily and reliably move data between Splunk Enterprise and Hadoop. The Splunk App for HadoopOps provides real-time monitoring and analysis of the health and performance of the end-to-end Hadoop environment. Splunk Hadoop Connect enables organizations to benefit from the best of both worlds. Quickly deploy Splunk software for real-time collection, indexing, analysis and visualizations and then reliably forward events to Hadoop for long-term archiving and additional batch analytics. Organizations can further leverage Splunk by importing data already stored in Hadoop. This makes it easy to stand up reliable, secure, enterprise-grade big data projects in days instead of months. Splunk Hadoop Connect is compatible with Apache Hadoop and has been tested and certified against Cloudera CDH and Hortonworks HDP distributions.

The Splunk App for HadoopOps provides real-time end-to-end monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting for Hadoop, all from one interface. Existing Hadoop monitoring tools focus just on the Hadoop layer. The Splunk App for HadoopOps goes beyond that by encompassing all layers of the infrastructure, including Hadoop, the network, switch, rack, operating system and database.
