SS&C Technologies : Regulation and client requests a focus in the APX Suite 18.1 release

We recently unveiled the latest round of enhancements to Advent Portfolio Exchange® (APX) suite including Moxy®, Advent Rules Manager® and Advent Data Solutions. We also shared information on Advent Genesis™ our new order creation and rebalancing solution as well as Advent Outsourcing Services™. These updates reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and incorporate feedback we've received throughout the years from our clients and from the wider-market.

On the APX front, enhancements focused on driving further operational efficiency, connectivity and integration, scalability and supporting regulatory compliance.

Highlights include:

• As part of our continuing rollout of functionality to help firms comply with the complex Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), we issued new reports.
• Stemming from feedback in our online SS&C Advent Community discussion board, we rolled out an enhanced position reconciliation report and a number of other reporting enhancements.
• To help clients comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we added new data retention and security enhancements.

Meanwhile, the Moxy team has been hard at work with enhancements to the trade order management system including:

• Improved integration with SS&C FIXLink to access liquidity globally as well as adding connectivity partners. Moxy now offers integration with SSCNet for post trade processes.
• Functionality to support regulatory initiatives MiFID II and GDPR.
• Increased integration with APX and Genesis to optimize the user experience.
• Continued improvements to performance and scalability, resulting in notable performance improvements of rule checking with Advent Rules Manager.

Advent Genesis, being cloud based, continuously receives new features and has recently added enhancements that help clients efficiently manage household rebalancing and cash management and intelligently block trades for the OMS streamlining execution. Genesis has also strengthened compliance as well as enabled an aggregation service that allows users to group holdings by any characteristics for efficient portfolio construction.

Advent Outsourcing Services™ (AOS) continues to increase in number of solutions supported with cloud delivery and scope of operational services offered. Both existing clients and firms new to SS&C Advent have found this service to offer unique benefits versus other outsourcing providers.
