Standard Chartered PLC : Standard Chartered Set to Sign Pact With New York Regulator-NYT

Standard Chartered PLC (STAN.LN) is expected to sign a settlement with the New York Department of Financial Services Friday, the New York Times reports on its DealBook website, citing several unidentified people with knowledge of the discussions.
The Times said although the U.K. bank agreed last month to $340 million to settle with New York's top banking regulator claims it illegally funneled money to Iran and lied to regulators, the final details weren't hashed out until Friday.
Other criminal allegations from the Manhattan district attorney's office are expected to be settled next week, the Times reported, citing law enforcement officials it didn't name. It said a bank spokeswoman declined to comment.
