The architecture and design firm ADD Inc, now with Stantec, has completed the 18-story Vu New River residential building located at 510 SE 5th Avenue in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, along the New River. The last phase of American Land Venture's New River Village development, the LEED Silver building is 268,237 sf and contains a total of 209 one-, two- and three- bedroom rental units, a 2,245 sf restaurant on the ground floor, and a rooftop amenity deck with a 360 degree view of the river and the city.

"The contemporary architecture style of Vu New River reflects the diversity of the neighboring towers and those along the New River," said architect Rachel Cardello, principal, ADD Inc, now with Stantec. "The use of horizontal bands, playful patterns, and angled balconies create a distinctive architectural vocabulary for the area."

The building's interior has a modern yet warm ambiance with light colors of orange and red to contrast gray, white, and black tones. The ground floor and lobby have a transparent façade with 20-foot floor to ceiling glass that enhances the interaction with the Riverwalk, the New River, and neighboring park.

The Vu New River has many sustainable features and is certified LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council. The building is located in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale, providing tenants easy access to public transportation and local retail centers. Sustainable features include the use of low-emitting materials for all interior finishes, an efficient HVAC system, a building-wide recycling program, and 35% of the building's electricity comes from Green-e Energy, the nation's leading independent certification and verification program for renewable energy.
