Stantec has been named one of Canada's Best 50 Corporate Citizens for the sixth time by Corporate Knights. Now in its 17th year, the annual ranking acknowledges companies that implement responsible business practices based on environmental, social and governance indicators.

The rankings were announced June 7 at the Corporate Knights Annual Best 50 Gala held at the Royal Conservatory of Music's TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning in Toronto. For 2018, Stantec ranks 19th overall.

'Sustainability is a core part of Stantec's strategy, from the impact of our operations, to our philanthropy, to the services we provide to clients,' says Carrie Sabin, Stantec's environment and sustainability program manager. 'To be recognized again for our commitment is a real honour. We are proud that our efforts both protect the environment and improve the quality of life of communities where we live and work.'

The leading corporate ranking of Canadian corporate citizenship, Corporate Knights ranks companies' relative carbon and resource impacts, as well as employee, safety, diversity, innovation, financial management, 'clean' revenue, and supplier performance.
