Stantec : soars in design industry rankings

Global design firm Stantec recently claimed top 10 status in three major industry rankings.

Stantec is ranked No. 10 on the Top 150 Global Design Firms list by Engineering News-Record(ENR) and No. 10 on the Top 300 Architecture Firms list by Architectural Record, both leading industry publications.

In addition, in a series of rankings by Building Design + Construction (BD+C) magazine, Stantec is ranked the No. 1 K-12 school and No. 5 university design firm in the United States. Stantec is also the No. 1 A/E firm in the nation, according to the BD+C survey.

All three publication rankings are based on reported revenues from 2016.

Engineering News-Record
The 22,000-person firm has been a mainstay in the ENR rankings, but in claiming the No. 10 spot among more than 150 global design firms, realizes a long-held business objective.

Architectural Record
Stantec's architecture and interior design team provides transformative design solutions for clients across North America and the globe. Their portfolio includes work for clients in education, commercial, healthcare, civic, science and technology, airports, and industrial clients. This is Stantec's first appearance in the top 10 of Architectural Record's widely recognized Top 300 Architecture Firm report.

Building Design + Construction
BD+C's annual Giants survey ranks design and construction firms in 17 markets. Stantec achieved top 10 rankings in 15 of those markets, and again earned the spot as No. 1 Architecture/Engineering firm in the United States.

Stantec is also ranked the top the K-12 school design firm. The magazine cites Stantec for designing technology-rich spaces that encourage hands-on, collaborative, and real-world learning experiences. Stantec's education planners and designers are also leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM and Career & Technical Education (CTE) design.
