Suzanne Sell was recently promoted to Senior Vice President for Research at Starz and Neal Massey was promoted to Vice President, Business & Consumer Insights for Research at Starz.

Based in the company’s Colorado headquarters, Sell oversees the Starz research team, providing information and insight on issues relating to television industry and consumer trends, product development, original program development, audience measurement and sales messaging.

Sell joined Starz in 2003 as Director, Program Analytics and served most recently as Vice President, Research. Previously, she served as Vice President, Research and Promotion Planning for Crown Media International. As a research provider and consultant to television stations, networks and studios, she has helped clients build audiences in both domestic and international markets.

Sell earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Film and Master of Arts in Broadcast History/Audience Research from the University of Iowa.

Massey, also based in the company’s Colorado headquarters, is responsible for supporting Starz’ top initiatives including original series, affiliate relations and customer engagement. Massey and his team produce research, business intelligence, and insights related to Starz’ subscribers and brands, as well as the multichannel video industry. Massey was promoted from his most recent role as Executive Director, Business & Consumer Insights at Starz.

Prior to joining Starz in 2008, Massey was President of MultiChannelStats; Vice President of Jato Communications; and Vice President of Jones Intercable.

Massey earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
