Stockland's stunning new display village at its exciting Newport community will officially open its doors to the public on Saturday 5 August by hosting a street party embracing all things neon.

The Newport Display Village will be illuminated in vibrant colours at the twilight event from 5.30pm-7.30pm, as visitors soak up the electric atmosphere and enjoy world-class entertainment, delectable food delights and an exciting laser show finale.

David Laner, Regional Manager for Stockland, said the display village launch was a spectacular event designed to bring the local community together.

"Newport is going neon and we want locals to come along and celebrate with us at this fantastic free family event," Mr Laner said.

"The event will be a visual feast for all to enjoy and is a perfect opportunity for future residents to come along to the community, stroll through the display village and get a feel for why so many people are choosing to build their new home at Newport."

Street performers in all their neon glory will mingle with the crowds, including magicians, LED hoop twirlers, winged creatures, stilt walkers and a roving DJ on a LED Segway.

Local musicians will provide the soundtrack to the night, as face painters, balloon twisters and glow in the dark crafts keep the children entertained.

"The streets will also be lined with food trucks offering a fabulous array of delicious dishes to choose from, really setting tastebuds alight," Mr Laner said.

The Newport Display Village, located on Spinnaker Boulevard, features 30 brand new homes showcasing the latest in contemporary home designs from leading local and national builders.

"We're looking forward to seeing how buyers will be inspired by the innovative trends on display when it comes to building their own home," Mr Laner said.

The Newport Display Village is located just a short stroll from Newport's waterfront, a huge drawcard for homebuyers seeking the combination of a unique, relaxed lifestyle of bayside living with the convenience of nearby retail, schools and an easy commute to the Brisbane CBD.

Central to the $590 million waterfront community will be a 23 hectare lake with high mast access to Moreton Bay.

Prices in the latest land release range from $262,900 to $364,900 for blocks ranging in size from 324 square metres to 550 square metres. Waterfront land in the exclusive waterfront village, Quay, starts from $784,900 for a 503 square metre lot.

The Newport Display Village is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm and is located on Spinnaker Boulevard, Newport.
