LAFAYETTE, La., May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stone Energy Corporation (NYSE: SGY) today announced at its annual meeting of stockholders that the Stone Energy Board of Directors has appointed David H. Welch as Chairman of the Board, replacing Mr. Richard A. Pattarozzi. Mr. Welch will retain his position as Chief Executive Officer and President of Stone Energy. Mr. Pattarozzi will remain as the lead Director on the Board.
