"Very Superior" packaging material protects and
promotes
cognac, champagne and quality wines
Consumers of champagne, spirits and fine wines are
quality-conscious buyers who appreciate the look and feel of
the package that protects the bottle. This important segment
of luxury packaging is the topic of the 6thVS Pack exhibition
to be held in Cognac, in the "Spirit Valley" of
France, from 6th to 8th December. As the leading supplier of

The packaging boards supplied by Stora Enso meet the
strictest requirements of wine and spirit brand owners. The
look and feel of the package must communicate a feeling of
luxury. This is achieved through the smooth surface of the
carton, which can be enriched with embossing, varnishing, hot
foil stamping and, if required, a metallised polyethylene
coating. Brands suited for the outer layer of the packages
include Ensocoat, Performa and Tambrite.
Protection properties are critical when packaging valuable

Tambrite are suitable for the inner layer material. In

Packaging, in his presentation, "Environmental
challenges in the Wine and Spirit packaging conception"
on 6th December at 2 p.m. "Luxury does not have to be
equated with unsustainability; we can make the consumer aware
of the renewable content of the package," says Mr
Nuottamo. "As natural products, wine and spirit brands
are further enhanced by packing them in board and paper also
powered by the sun. The package is the best medium for
conveying the feeling of the brand to the consumer."
