STV brings a bit of sunshine to these cold and frosty nights with a brand new six part series - Scottish Passport 2012, starting 8pm on Monday 2 January.
Narrated by Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), the series will see a host of celebrities travel to a range of holiday locations across the world. With a range of holidays covered, there's something for everyone in this wide-reaching travel show.
Writer and broadcaster Paul English also travels across Europe to bring us top travel tips and a weekly update on a range of destinations from Ibiza to Barcelona, Marbella to Tenerife.
Week by week on Scottish Passport 2012:
Episode 1
River City chums Gary Lamont and Pamela Byrne head to
Turkey for sunshine and adventure; and we get some top tips
for a brilliant break in Albufeira in the Algarve. We
also see a single mum and her teenage daughters take a
break at popular roller coaster park, Alton Towers.
Episode 2
Taggart star Alex Norton and his wife Sally travel to South
Africa, and get up close with some of the world's most
dangerous animals; and Paul English visits the Costa Del
Sol. We'll also see a family organise a big
reunion of friends in a country house in Argyll.
Episode 3
Antiques Road Trip expert Anita Manning and daughter
Larissa enjoy a girl's city break in stunning Iceland;
and we'll show you what's on offer in the
sophisticated South of France. Fancy a mobile
adventure closer to home - find out how a young couple get
on Gypsy Caravanning in the Scottish Borders.
Episode 4
Fashionista Julie Hannah and her fiancée jet off and soak
up some sun in the Florida Keys; and we see what popular
holiday destination Tenerife has to offer. And a
couple celebrate their anniversary with a yachting break on
the west coast of Scotland.
Episode 5
Actress and presenter Clare Grogan and her family head to
Morocco; and whether you want peace and quiet or a party
holiday, we bring you the best of Ibiza. If you fancy
a getaway with a bit of exercise, join our two hill walking
friends as they take the Jacobite Railway and walk in
Mallaig.
Episode 6
Taggart star Blythe Duff and her husband Tom visit Taiwan;
and we have some tips for a fabulous city break in
beautiful Barcelona. Closer to home, a young family
go glamping and visit Yorvik in York.
