Sumitomo Rubber Industries has published the English-language version of our "CSR Report 2013" (originally released in Japanese in June), detailing our Group's CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities during 2012.

In order to make this year's report more readable and accessible, both the Japanese and English-language versions of our "CSR Report 2013" are divided into three main parts: "Part 1: Feature Reports on Major CSR Themes in 2012," "Part 2: CSR Activities Reports" and "Part 3: Independent Assurance Reports." In addition, with an eye toward continuity with the content of our previous CSR reports, Part 1 and 2 introduce our Group's CSR activities in a way that is easy to understand, organized categorically according to our Company's own "GENKI*" CSRGuidelines, which are part of our Basic CSR Philosophy.

The English version of "CSR Report 2013" is available online at the following CSR Report Website: http://www.srigroup.co.jp/english/csr/index.html

In order to fulfill our social responsibilities as a global corporate group, the Sumitomo Rubber Group continually aims to produce new value while contributing to the development of a sustainable society, striving to be a trusted and respected company that contributes to our communities and to the betterment of society as a whole.

*"GENKI" stands for five basic CSR categories: "Green Initiative" (tree planting), "Ecology" (reducing the environmental impact of our business activities), "Next" (developing next-generation technologies and products), "Kindness" (towards our employees and our communities) and "Integrity" (honesty and reliability for our stakeholders).
