Sun Hung Kai Properties : Workout craze in lead up to Race to Hong Kong ICC Push for vertical running and exercise for good

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited is staging its fifth SHKP Vertical Run for Charity - Race to Hong Kong ICC on 4 December (Sunday), which will also be the grand finale again to the Vertical World Circuit. The company is running Step-Up for Health and Step-Up for Wellness programmes encouraging people to make exercise a habit and live healthy lives.

Join Step-Up for Health and take the stairs five days a week

People can download the SHKP Vertical Run for Charity mobile app from Google Play or the Apple Store until 20 November to join Step-Up for Health. Those who cover 1,000 or more stairs in at least five days within a week and have their steps recorded by the app's step counter will be entered in a weekly lucky draw for shopping mall coupons, buffet tea vouchers and tickets to the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. The participant logging the most steps will win the grand prize of HK$1,000 in shopping mall coupons. Results will be announced in Sing Tao Daily and The Standard on 30 November.

Step-Up for Wellness in residential estates to promote exercise for good

There is also a Step-Up for Wellness programme in over 30 SHKP residential estates until 18 November. Residents can use pedometers provided and work out on designated stepping machines and SHKP will donate HK$1 for every ten steps recorded to child and youth services. Participants will receive a stamp and health tips for every 100 steps recorded, and two stamps will earn a bottle of sports drink and ten a set of mini bricks combo.

A bonus 5 Sigma programme held on random dates will give participants who take 100 steps on a designated day a special stamp and health tips, with five stamps will have a chance to win two tickets to sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. Gifts are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The estates logging the most steps and counts of participants will earn gold, silver and bronze The Most Accumulated Steps and The Most Numbers of Participants titles and invitations to an award presentation at International Commerce Centre (ICC) on 4 December.

Registration for the Race to Hong Kong ICC closes on 11 November

The SHKP Vertical Run for Charity - Race to Hong Kong ICC will be held at Hong Kong's tallest building - International Commerce Centre - on 4 December.
