Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF) announces the launch of new Suntory Tokucha Jasmine (FOSHU). Suntory Tokucha Jasmine (FOSHU) will be available nationwide throughout Japan in 500ml PET bottles beginning June 6 (Tuesday) 2017.

Iyemon Tokucha has been the No.1 selling FOSHU beverage for three consecutive years* following its launch in 2013. In August 2016, SBF launched Suntory Tokucha Caffeine Zero (FOSHU), which has been particularly popular among female consumers. This latest offering seeks to capture new consumers and further invigorate the overall FOSHU market by offering a new combination of jasmine tea with the unique value of Iyemon Tokucha creating a delicious tea that promotes body fat loss.

●Characteristics of the product's flavor
We created a strong and vivid aroma unique to jasmine tea and used only the highest special grade leaves. This is combined with tea leaves carefully selected by 'chasho' (tea master) of reputed Kyoto tea home Fukujuen, to create an elegant and refreshing bitterness. Like Iyemon Tokucha (FOSHU), we added quercetin glycosides, which work to activate and stimulate lipolytic enzymes, to obtain certification for Tokucha Jasmine as a food for specified health uses that promotes body fat loss. Tokucha Jasmine (FOSHU) compliments meals, and is ideal for every day consumption throughout work and during the day at various other occasions.

●Package characteristics
We incorporated a largely transparent design to express the refreshing taste of the jasmine tea while borrowing from the traditional Tokucha brand design. The main color, emerald green represents the freshness of the jasmine and the center piece of the design is an illustration of a vibrant jasmine flower.
