The insolvency administrator appointed by the local court of Konstanz today signed a contract concerning the sale of the solar inverter business and the building-integrated photovoltaics business (BIPV) of Sunways AG (SWW GR, SWWG.DE, ISIN DE0007332207) effective presumably on 2 May 2014. The creditors' committee approved the agreement on 29 April 2014. Buyer is an indirect subsidiary of Shunfeng Photovoltaic International Limited. Subject of the contract is in particular the divestment of the solar inverter business and BIPV business of Sunways AG, including brand or name of the company, patents, design, know-how, equipment, inventories and related employees as well as certain selling and administrative areas pertaining to the interverter and BIPV business. Existing liabilities are not covered by the buyer. The proceeds from the sale of the solar inverter business and the BIPV business of Sunways AG are not sufficient to cover a repayment of shareholders' investment in Sunways AG after conclusion of the insolvency proceedings.
