Swedbank will be hosting Wise Guys Fintech - a fintech startup accelerator program by Startup Wise Guys in Swedbank's premises in Riga, Latvia. Through each program, 10 international startups will get the opportunity to spend up to six months in a fast-paced learning environment, grow their business and connect to banking experts and mentors.

The program is set to start in spring 2018 and will be located in Swedbank's Latvian headquarters in Riga, with applications opening in the end of 2017. The program will be run by a team from Startup Wise Guys and Swedbank.

'Through the accelerator program, we are now expanding our eco-system of third party collaborations with fintechs. For the startups, it's a way to fast-track growth by gaining competence and access to more than 7 million of Swedbank's customers through our Open Banking platform. For Swedbank, we hope to find partners with the purpose of building great customer value together. We also look forward to collaborate with Startup Wise Guys, says Emma Heimonen, Head of Digital Innovation, Swedbank.
