(Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the opening of its new, expanded Security Operations Center (SOC) in Herndon, Va. to support the rapid growth of the Symantec Managed Security Services (MSS) group. The new SOC in Herndon - formerly located in Alexandria, Va. - joins Symantec's other global SOCs in the UK, Australia and India as part of the first line of defense against cyber threats for customers around the world.
