We designed the new subscription offerings to make buying Tableau easier, from the individual analyst to deploying analytics at scale. We want to remove limits on hardware or infrastructure to give our customers the most choice and flexibility in how to deploy Tableau. Our three new offerings - Creator, Explorer, and Viewer - help our customers empower more people with data.

First, there is Tableau Creator, which gives full analytics capabilities to analysts and power users. Creator includes Tableau Desktop, which enables you to connect to virtually any data anywhere, giving you the ability to analyze your data at the speed of thought. The Creator license includes Tableau Server or Tableau Online, giving users the ability to publish, govern and share their work anywhere. Starting in Tableau 2018.1, Creators can now complete their analysis directly in the browser, with a full end-to-end web authoring experience.

Creator also includes our new data preparation product, Tableau Prep-at no additional cost. Data prep is one of the biggest challenges facing our customers today. We've designed Tableau Prep to simplify common data preparation tasks-such as joins, unions, pivots, cleaning, and aggregations-with a drag-and-drop experience. No scripting required. With Tableau Prep, you can see how each step affects the output so you can get to your desired results faster, with greater confidence in your final data set.

For organizations looking for governed self-service analytics, Tableau Explorer gives business users the ability and autonomy to access and explore published data sources to ask and answer questions that lead to new insights and better business outcomes. Explorers can analyze any data sources or workbooks on the server. They can create a new analysis on the web based on governed data sources, and subscribe and create alerts for themselves and their colleagues.

And Tableau Viewer, which makes it possible for organizations to extend the value of data and analytics across their entire workforce in a very cost-effective manner. Viewers are able to view and filter dashboards, receive and manage subscriptions, and receive data-driven alerts, all via a web browser and/or their mobile device.

Tableau's new offerings are available on-premises, in the public cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform), or via Tableau Online (our fully managed SaaS offering), making it easy to start and scale.

Want to learn more about how to choose the right offering? We've got you covered. We're confident these new offerings provide everyone greater flexibility to license the role appropriate to the capabilities each person needs at a price that makes sense for you and your organization.
