The Dead Have Risen Again. Double Take, LLC (2T) is publishing a series of new stories, starting with scenes from the first episodes of three graphic novels: Rise, Soul and Insurrection. These stories are set in the universe of the 1968 film Night of the Living Dead. 2T is headed up by Bill Jemas, former Marvel President and Publisher. Bill and his team have commissioned a new generation of creators to bring the world of the dead back to life in surprising new ways.

“Even if you think you know Night of the Living Dead, you won’t know these stories,” explained Michael Coast, one of 2T’s Story Editors. “Our stories start in the universe of the film, but from there we let our creators’ imaginations and our undead run wild. Readers can get a glimpse of our titles and sneak peeks of our content on our Facebook page, and our titles will be available in traditional, gorgeous print versions soon.”

For now, the beginning of these books can be previewed online starting today at https://www.facebook.com/DoubleTakeComics. “We’ll add new scenes to the first three stories and/or new stories pretty much every day,” Jemas said, “In the long run, we hope to add the most scenes to the stories you like best.”

Night of the Living Dead has become part of the public domain, making it possible for 2T to publish these new stories. According to Lillian Tan, 2T’s Business Manager, “While we admire and respect the creators, cast, and crew of the Original, no one affiliated with the 1968 Night of the Living Dead film is in any way involved in the creation of the new stories.”

In addition to three all-new titles following characters from the film, 2T has compiled in a “Film Book” over 200 of the best stills from the film along with all of the dialogue printed as subtitles. Over time, 2T will add annotations from our editors, writers, and artists at the end of each scene. Anyone can view the most recent version also at 2T’s Facebook page.
