Two Talanx projects came away from InnoWard 2014 with prizes awarded by the Vocational Training Institute of the German Insurance Industry (Berufsbildungswerk der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft). The project "Insurance Sales of the Future for Generation Y" was ranked second in the category of "Initial Vocational Training". In the category of "Personnel Development/Qualification" the Talanx project "Talanx Corporate Academy - A Group grows together" was placed third. The InnoWard honours exemplary projects that are expected to deliver innovative impulses for training activities in the insurance industry and have already proven themselves in practice. "We see the award of these prizes as a clear affirmation of our measures both in personnel development and for initial vocation training", Dr Christian Hinsch, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx AG and Labour Director, commented. The InnoWard 2014 prizes were handed out as part of the Germany Insurance Industry Training Congress in Berlin. This marked altogether the tenth time that the prizes had been awarded since 2005.

In the context of the prize-winning project "Insurance Sales of the Future for Generation Y" Talanx trainees developed an innovative sales system for the so-called "Generation Y". It is designed to meet the needs of current and above all future customers while at the same time reducing costs and enhancing the image of the insurance industry. The three key points of this innovative concept are the implementation of so-called "Life Shops", an entirely novel website and the development of a mobile app. Following on from 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010, this was the fifth time that initial vocational training at Talanx had been honoured with an InnoWard.

The focus of the prize-winning project "Talanx Corporate Academy - A Group grows together" is on the establishment and successful implementation of the Talanx Corporate Academy as an exclusive human resources development tool for the highest level of management within the Group. It is intended to foster dialogue and further integration throughout the Group and thereby also play a pivotal role in shaping the international insurance undertaking's corporate culture. The Talanx Corporate Academy supports execution of the Group's strategy, the enhancement of leadership quality and the international sharing of best practices across the Group. It conveys strategically relevant topics to senior managers at home and abroad by way of a high-quality and practice-oriented programme.
