It's an exciting time for TalkTalk, as we've set-up a new home in Salford Quays, Manchester.

We think it's more important than ever before to address the shifting needs of the workforce, which is why we've spent the past few months adding the finishing touches to our new campus. The space brings together almost 1,500 colleagues from our previous offices in Irlam and Warrington into a new state-of-the-art building, the Soapworks.

Our vision is to create a vibrant and modern environment that our people are rightly proud of. As the name suggests, the Soapworks was once a Palmolive/Colgate factory but has since been transformed into an ultramodern office space. It forms a significant part of TalkTalk's Great Place to Work strategy, which has seen us introduce a number of initiatives to drive employee engagement, champion innovation and deliver exceptional customer service.

Here's a taster of what the Soapworks has to offer:

World-class technology: Spread over five floors the 106,000 sq ft space celebrates connectivity and innovation, and features the very latest in technology, such as mobile meeting hubs made from clear writeable glass and telepresence conference rooms. We also built a games section complete with Xboxs and PlayStations to say thanks to the dedicated team who work nights and weekends.

More flexible working: The space is designed to give greater flexibility to how and where colleagues work, which is why the Soapworks boasts 80 neighbourhoods, 40 meeting spaces, 30 private work pods and booths and various multi-use project spaces. With 200 Wi-Fi access points our people will have amazing coverage wherever they decide to work from.

Greater team collaboration: To create a more collaborative working environment we introduced mobile meeting hubs made from clear writeable glass and installed laptop-based softphones so our teams can join calls from any location. It's not all work, our impressive social areas include a modern industrial inspired café with views of the Manchester skyline, a roof terrace and picnic heath.

Mark Dickinson, TalkTalk's Chief People Officer, said:'Making TalkTalk an even better place to work is a key priority for us and we are proud to be investing in our colleagues, as well as in our new home. As a technology company, it's important that our working environment reflects our digital first culture. We've had a great response to the move from our people and believe that a highly engaged team will deliver a better service for our customers. The offices in the Soapworks are best in class and a great investment in Greater Manchester.'

All other TalkTalk sites, including its offices in London, Stornoway and Gateshead remain an integral part of the TalkTalk estate.
