Peter Mantsch named new Head of Human Resources at Tamedia

Zurich, 7 June 2016 - Peter Mantsch was named new Head of Human Resources at the Swiss media group Tamedia. The timing of the change has yet to be decided. Peter Mantsch is succeeding Markus Zbinden, who has been in charge of Tamedia's human resources department on an interim basis since February 2016 and until the transfer.

Peter Mantsch is currently the Human Resources Director Sales & Service Worldwide for the machine tool and technology provider DMG Mori Group. In this position, Peter Mantsch (48) has the overall responsibility for all personnel-related issues in DMG Mori AG's worldwide sales and services division. Previously, he was Human Resources Director Sales & Service Europe of DMG Mori Seiki Europe AG from 2013 to 2014. From 2009 to 2012 he was Head of Human Resources of the software and financial services provider Avaloq Group, where he also held overall responsibility for all worldwide HR issues. Earlier, from 2000 to 2008, he served in various capacities at Swisscom. Mantsch holds degrees both in Computer Science and in Economics as well as a doctorate from the Institute for Microeconomics and Applied Economics at the University of Fribourg. After starting work in the field of human resources he successfully completed the training as Human Resources Executive VSKP in 2006. In addition to his professional activities, he was also a lecturer at a number of colleges. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fondation Gad Stiftung, which supports unemployed people in their social and economic integration.
