Tasly Chairman Yan Xijun, on the evening of Jun. 1, attended a dinner party which was held in Beijing for the first visit to China by Larry Hogan, governor of Maryland, and talked with him on overseas investment and the possibility of cooperation in biopharmaceuticals.

After giving an introduction of Tasly and its Maryland-based subsidiary, Tasly Pharmaceuticals, Inc, the chairman expressed willingness to invest in the state and the U.S. in industries such as biopharmaceuticals. The governor of Maryland, a state which is nicknamed Capital of Biology and has amassed a number of biotechnical and pharmaceutical giants, said that Chinese pharmaceutical companies were welcome to invest in the state for collaborative operations.
