Young international tennis stars to ride in the new generation - Nexon & Hexa

Tata Motors today announced their association as the 'Driven By' Sponsor for WTA Mumbai Open, the international tennis tournament to be held in Mumbai. With this association, Tata Motors will provide their newly launched and stylish cars - the NEXON and the HEXA as the exclusive vehicle partner for the players at the tournament.

Part of the WTA Challenger Series, USD 125,000 WTA Mumbai Open is organised by MSLTA (Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association) in association with the State Government of Maharashtra, and commences on November 18th. The tournament will be held at the CCI Stadium in Mumbai, thus making Mumbai the 5th city to host this landmark event. The qualifying rounds will be played from November 18 while the 32-player main draw starts on November 20. The finals will be held on Nov 26, 2017.

19-year old world No 78, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, will lead the field as the top seed at the WTA Mumbai Open. Challenging Sabalenka for the winner's cheque of $20,000 will be China's Zhu Lin, ranked 105 in the world, Yanina Wickmayer (112) of Belgium, Arina Rodionova (116) of Australia, Naomi Broady (120) of Great Britain and Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia, all of whom will be seeded. In all, players from 19 countries will represent in the tournament.

The tournament will also feature upcoming Indian players such as Ankita Raina, Rutuja Bhosale, Kamran Kaur Thandi and world junior No 18 Zeel Desai, all of whom are likely to be given wildcards.
