Over 55 enthusiastic students from across Mumbai participated in the workshop sensitizing on energy, resource and civic & moral values conservation

Tata Power's nationwide energy, resource and moral & civic values conservation programme, Club Enerji, organised a Summer Power Workshop for children in Mumbai. This initiative was organised in line with their mitment towards spreading the message of energy conservation across the country. The Summer Power Camp aimed at raising and sensitising awareness on energy and resource conservation and teach the students vital lessons on moral values. All the participants were provided with certificates on pletion of the workshop.

The work shop was designed to be informative and engaging through multiple sessions on various subjects of energy, resource and civic & moral values conservation. The session began with a brief introduction on Club Enerji, post which the children and the parents were taken for a visit to the bio-gas plant located in the Trombay colony. The specially designed walkthrough showcased benefits and adaptability of the process in housing societies. A visit to the organic post pit and the soak pit within the colony was also undertaken wherein they were shown processes to adapt this practice. They were also taken through the process of doing vermiposting at home following which they were taken for a tree plantation drive.

The Club Enerji Summer Power Workshop witnessed more than 55 students ing together from across the schools of Mumbai. The students were largely benefitted throughout the various programs scheduled during the course of the day. These initiatives helped them realise the values of a greener world and importance of conservation of energy and natural resources. It also showcases the significance of Club Enerji initiatives in educating the future generation of the country on energy conservation.

The Club Enerji Summer Power Workshop saw participation from customers (parents along with kids), employees (parents along with kids) and the munity. Also, the children participated through the Facebook page and Twitter Handle of Club Enerji. The demos and sessions were conducted by Mr. Appanna Codanda, Lead - Horticulturist, Tata Power, Mr. Pramod Sawant, Lead Associate - ES&A, Tata Power and Mrs. Veena Bakshi, Club Enerji, Educator. The participants were given handouts on how to conserve energy, resources and civic and moral values and be responsible citizens. The workshop was concluded with experiences and testimonials shared by participants and handing out certificates of participation.
