A representative delegation of the Republic of Turkmenistan

"Turkmennebit" ("Turkmenneft") visited
the Nizhnekamsk area of OAO TATNEFT activity during their
business trip.
The distinguished guests from Turkmenistan were accompanied
by Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of the Republic of
Tatarstan, Ilshat Fardiev, Deputy Prime Minister of the
Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Energy, Shafagat
Takhautdinov, General Director of OAO TATNEFT and Aydar
Metshin, Head of the Nizhnekamsk municipal district.
During the visit the Turkmen delegation got familiarized
with the activities of TANECO. The reason for the interest
in OAO TATNEFT and particularly to its strategic project -
TANECO Complex of Refineries and Petrochemical Plants is
due to the fact that oil and gas sector in Turkmenistan is
among the leading sectors of the Republican economy. The
country is one of the biggest energy powers in the world
and actively develops the processing of hydrocarbons.
At the industrial site the guests were demonstrated major
production facilities of the refinery and the central
operator control room of the NPiNHZ Complex. Khamza
Bagmanov, General Director of OAO TANEKO, familiarized the
Turkmen delegation with the history of the Project
implementation, as well as with the unique automated
process control system created at NPiNHZ Complex.
The next facility of the Turkmen delegation attention was
the Nizhnekamsk Tire SSC Factory. This unique production
facility of a new generation tires supplemented the
petrochemical complex of OAO TATNEFT in 2009. The design
capacity of the factory amounts to 1.2 million tires per
year.
On the whole, in 2011 the SSC Tire Factory manufactured 188
thousand tires with the plans to produce at least 450
thousand pieces in 2012, and the factory is expected to
reach the design capacity by the end of 2013.

The relations between OAO TATNEFT and the State Concern
"Turkmennebit" ("Turkmenneft") develop
in the framework of cooperation laid down in the relevant
agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and
Turkmenistan dated June 28, 2008 and the Protocol on
cooperation in the oil and gas sector signed in July 2008.
The subject of the service contract signed between the
parties is to provide services aimed at oil recovery
enhancement of the existing wells stock and further use of
the crude oil production potential from Goturdepe field.
The contract duration is 7 years.
