According to the results of the tests carried out by the Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry, gasoline Regular 92 (AI-92-K5), produced at the Elkhovo crude oil refining plant (ENPU) of NGDU "Elkhovneft" of JSC TATNEFT, joined the top five by the calorific index value.
The Kazan Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry named after A.E. Arbuzov carried out independent laboratory tests of one of the main parameters affecting the level of fuel consumption. Thirteen gasoline samples of nine different producers were taken for the analysis to determine the combustion value. The element composition of gasoline was carried out with application of Perkin Elmer TurboMass gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer with electron ionization and calculation in accordance with the D.I. Mendeleyev's formula.
The combustion value of gasoline Class 5 A-92 produced by ENPU amounted to 42,876 kJ/kg. The tests demonstrated that the use of AI-92-K5 gasoline produced by ENPU of NGDU "Elkhovneft" of JSC TATNEFT is more profitable compared to gasolines yielded by a number of other producers (the higher is the combustion value of the fuel, the less is the fuel consumption with the same engine efficiency value or the same amount of useful work performed).
It is also worth noting that filling the car with the highest environmentally friendly class 5 premium fuels reduces the vehicles' impact on the environment and extends the life of the car.
The ENPU of NGDU "Elkhovneft" delivers AI-92-K5 gasoline to TATNEFT's filling stations located in the southeastern and Kama river regions of the Republic of Tatarstan.
