Representatives of the federal, regional, national and local media visited the TATNEFT's Petrochemical Complex enterprises.

A press tour of the Petrochemical Complex of TATNEFT was held in the framework of the "Buy Domestic Products!" promotion event organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and JSC "Tatmedia". The event was attended by the representatives of the State TV Company "Tatarstan", TV&Radio Companies "Kazan", "Efir", Interfax, ITAR-TASS, Primetime, IA "Devon", RBC, "Intertat", "Republic of Tatarstan", "Vatanym Tatarstan", "Vedomosti", BUSINESS Online, "Tatar-inform" and other media.

Just before visiting the production facilities there was a briefing arranged for journalists where the media representatives were able to put questions to the management of the TATNEFT's Petrochemical Complex.
During the event, the reporters were demonstrated the production facilities and products of the TATNEFT's tire manufacturing complex: up-to-date equipment of JSC "Nizhnekamskshina", OOO "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory", physico-mechanical and chemical laboratory of the "Kama" Scientific and Technical Center (STC), as well as the OOO "KaMaRetread" SSC tires retreading facility under construction.

The first site of the visit was JSC "Nizhnekamskshina": the largest enterprise in the domestic tire industry. The products of the factory are delivered to AvtoVAZ, UAZ, Volkswagen and other automakers.
Qualitatively new tires that meet the highest requirements of the leading automakers are developed at the TATNEFT's Petrochemical Complex based on new equipment and modern technologies. The STC "Kama" and "Nizhnekamskshina" have completed a number of projects for the homologation of Ford vehicle tires this year. Since November, 2014 the tire manufacturing complex of TATNEFT has been providing pre-production deliveries for Ford vehicles manufactured in Russia. Serial tire deliveries are planned to start since January 2015.

The reporters were demonstrated the equipment for unique laboratory tests and research trials at the "Kama" Scientific and Technical Center.

The media representatives also visited the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory, where they got acquainted with the process of manufacturing solid steel cord tires, advantages of their design, output product quality control system, as well as the specifics of the work organization at the factory.

A new enterprise for retreading solid steel cord tires will join the Nizhnekamsk tire-manufacturing complex of JSC TATNEFT in 2015. The new production works will be located in the territory of the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory. The journalists had the opportunity to view the unique equipment mounted by the experts of the Company's partner: Marangoni S.p.A.

The media representatives had also the opportunity to familiarize with the popular models of Kama, Kama EURO and Viatti tire brands at the exposition display.

The TATNEFT's Petrochemical Complex is producing more than 250 tire items and 14 brands of carbon black at present. The geography of tire sales includes 42 countries of the world and 144 cities in Russia. Every fifth Russian motorist uses the tires manufactured in Nizhnekamsk.
Three trademarks represent the range of the tires: Kama, Kama EURO  (budget segment) and Viatti (middle price segment).
Today's portfolio of the products sold includes 289 tire models for various purposes, namely: 175 passenger car tires, 31  light truck tires, 33 truck combination tires, 33 solid steel cord truck tires, 13 agricultural  and 4 industrial tires.
The high level of the production organization is evidenced by the fact that the TATNEFT's Petrochemical Complex enterprises have passed the certification audit for compliance with ISO 9001 international standards of the corporate certification system.
In 2014 the tire manufacturing complex of TATNEFT plans to produce 11 million 848 thousand tires. The plan for the production of carbon black is 117.9 thousand tons. The "Kama" Scientific and Technical Center will prepare 60 types of tires to start their mass production.
The plans envisage development of 76 types of tires by the end of 2015 and starting mass production of 80 types of tires.
Replacement of the obsolete equipment for high-performance one will be continued as part of the investment program in 2015. Thus, the plans of JSC "Nizhnekamskshina" provide for buying a steel cord cutting and matching line, X-ray installations, as well as for revamping the compressed air production facility.
