Tatneft' : Oil and Gas Production Division "Aznakaevskneft" Celebrated the 60th Anniversary

Oil and Gas Production Division 'Aznakaevskneft', one of the structural divisions of PJSC TATNEFT, celebrated the 60th anniversary. At the same time there were celebrations on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the municipal district.

The festivities were attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC TATNEFT, Shafagat Takhautdinov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan on oil industry issues, Marsel Shaydullin, Head of the Aznakayevo municipal district, as well as the heads of the TATNEFT Group of Companies, as well as employees and veterans of the Oil and Gas Production Division.

As part of the anniversary celebrations there was a meeting held with the veterans of NGDU 'Aznakaevskneft' and the municipal district and social sites were visited. In particular, the guests toured the recently commissioned second stage of the Victory Park, the Chernaya riverfront. The President of Tatarstan visited the city museum of local lore and the new park of Goodness for children with disabilities.

Within the framework of the ceremonial events at the Yubileyny stadium the President congratulated residents of Aznakayevo with the memorable dates in the life of the district and NGDU 'Aznakaevskneft' which is a town-forming enterprise.

'The residents of Aznakayevo can be proud of the town's rich history and significant contribution to the development of the Republic. This is the result of the work of many generations of the locals, oil workers, who form the basis of the economy both of the region and the Republic,' said the leader of Tatarstan.

The President also conferred a Letter of Thanks to the Division celebrating a jubilee. In addition, he presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished town and district workers in the oil industry, agriculture, education and culture, medicine.

'The holiday dates are nothing but the face of our common roots, history and fate. 'Black gold' has radically changed the way of life for the local residents. Oil business has become a destiny for thousands of Aznakayevo residents. Thanks to oil within a relatively short historical period the area of the rural hinterland has become one of industrialized centers of Tatarstan,' those were the words addressed to the people of Aznakayevo by Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT.

Aznakayevo is one of the numerous populated settlements of the oil region of Tatarstan, which TATNEFT render assistance to. The Company has rendered a tangible support in the construction of new social facilities being opened in the frame of the anniversary celebrations.

NGDU 'Aznakaevskneft' has come to the important date with good performance. The oilmen of Aznakayevo have produced about 488 million tons of 'black gold' by the jubilee date. So far the NGDU's annual production accounts for about 10% of the total crude oil production in the Republic. 'Aznakaevskneft' is one of the testing grounds for introduction of new methods in various areas of crude oil production, which are then replicated to other facilities of the Company. The Division continues developing and implementing the most important tasks within the single strategy of TATNEFT develoment.
