Tatneft' : Rustam Minnikhanov Visited the TANECO’s Delayed Coking Unit of TATNEFT Group of Companies

President of the Republic of Tatarstan visited a number of industrial enterprises located in the territory of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District as part of the celebrations dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Nizhnekamsk.

He was accompanied on his trip by Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC TATNEFT and Aidar Metshin, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk. The first point of the visit was the JSC TANECO's delayed coking unit (DCU) of the TATNEFT Group of Companies, where the guests got familiarized with the process of refining and shipping products.

The DCU was a landmark step in the implementation of the Nizhnekamsk Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex. The unit's stable operation enabled the TANECO Complex, which is a strategic project of TATNEFT to substantially increase the depth of oil processing and output of light oil products, while completely stopping fuel oil output as a final product. A clear indicator of the successful DCU operation is the following production dynamics: July 3 - start of the DCU comprehensive testing, August 10 - the depth of oil refining reached record 99.19% with the light oil products yield amounting to 86.85%. The unit has become one of the industrial import-substituting strategy examples applied in the TANECO project implementation.

Predominantly Russian specialists, technologies and equipment were used for the DCU construction. 'Lukoil-Nizhegorodniinefteproekt' Company acted as a general engineering designer of the facility. OOO 'US Neftehimzavodstroy', OOO 'SMU-7', OOO 'Spetsenergomontazh' and OOO 'Spetsprommontazh' were general contractors for construction. Main suppliers of the equipment were also domestic enterprises. Another important point: the most advanced technologies were applied in the construction of the DCU complying with all Russian and international environmental standards.

On the same day, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited numerous city events including the festivity in the 'Family' park, fully renovated at the expense of PJSC TATNEFT and thanked the Company for a significant socio-economic support to the city and the district.
