TATNEFT Company became a member of the technical association of European motor oil producers ATIEL (Association Technique del'Industrie Européenne des Lubrcants).

The TATNEFT's application for membership in this authoritative community was filed in May 2017.

After the work performed on the implementation of the ATIEL practice code and the EELQMS (European motor oil quality management system) quality system in August 2017, JSC TANECO was introduced by ATIEL in the list of companies guided by the principles of the ATIEL and EELQMS practice code, as a manufacturer of base oils and OOO Tatneft-AZS Center as a seller of motor oils, which allowed to begin working on obtaining automotive manufacturers' approvals and the API licensing of motor oils produced by PJSC TATNEFT.

To make a positive decision, ATIEL experts thoroughly studied the Company's financial and operating performance. PJSC TATNEFT was approved by vote as the 23rd member of the ATIEL association on December 12, 2017 at the ATIEL General Assembly (Brussels, Belgium). Thus, the Company became the third (after PJSC LUKOIL and PJSC Gazprom Neft) domestic company, which was included as a member of this European organization, which includes such world oil majors and lubricants producers as Total, BP-Castrol, Chevron, Shell, Eni, Exxon Mobil, Fuchs, Valvoline, Neste oil, SK Lubricants, Galp, and Idemitsu.

The membership in ATIEL provides a number of advantages for the Company. In particular, it allows:

- being aware of the latest trends in the global the motor oil business and the continuously updated requirements of automakers in connection with the development of the automotive equipment;

- participating in the work of the association, taking an active part in quarterly meetings.

So, the presence in the commission on interchangeability of base oils will allow participating in the development of cost-effective, technically reliable rules for transferring results on the interchangeability of base oils.

The interest to the ATIEL membership on the part of TATNEFT is largely determined by the fact that the Company is a producer of base oils. At present, The Company is selling to consumers iso-paraffinic base oils TATNEFT HVI-2 and TATNEFT VHVI-4, produced at the TANECO Complex in Nizhnekamsk.
