Tatneft' : TATNEFT Experts Are Involved in Developing Technologies for Cybersecurity of Industrial Enterprises

The professionals of TATNEFT Company took part in the conference 'Cybersecurity ASU TP 2016: Time to Act Together', held in Innopolis from October 10 to 12.

A landmark event of the professional forum was a joint statement of the 'Kaspersky Lab' and JSC 'TANECO' about the opening of the first in Russia Response Centre to computer incidents at the industrial and critical important facilities: ICS-CERT project.

The main objective of the ICS-CERT 'Kaspersky Lab' is to coordinate the actions of the manufacturers of automation systems, owners and operators of industrial facilities, as well as researchers in the field of information security. CERT will collect the information on the identified vulnerabilities, incidents taking place and urgent threats and on this basis will make recommendations for the protection of industrial and critical infrastructure facilities. All the data, except confidential ones will be made available for the public in the anonymous form and only after the manufacturers of industrial systems release updated versions covering the discovered vulnerabilities.

'At TATNEFT Company they pay great attention to information security and ensuring effective protection for the automated control systems. A comprehensive approach to this issue contributed to the expansion of cooperation with the 'Kaspersky Lab,' said Rustam Pavlov, Director of the Business Service Center of PJSC TATNEFT.

TATNEFT's subsidiary 'TANECO' acted as a partner of the ICS-CERT project. 'We can say that the product of 'TANECO and' Kaspersky Lab' is a symbiosis of knowledge in the oil and gas industry and the area of information technologies,' said Ilshat Salakhov, Deputy General Director for technical support and quality of JSC 'TANECO'.

At the press conference on the occasion of opening the ICS-CERT project Evgeny Kaspersky, Director of 'Kaspersky Lab', said that the positive experience of working with 'TANECO' would be the basis for the development of security systems primarily for the oil and gas industry enterprises, and later for the facilities in other sectors of the economy.
